Home Care Package (HCP)

A Home Care Package is an Australian Government-funded package that pays for coordinated services to help an older person live independently at home. Packages have four levels (1–4) corresponding to support intensity.

HCP funds combine a Government contribution and a means-tested consumer contribution. Providers must publish pricing schedules, manage individual budgets, and report on services delivered through the My Aged Care system.

HCP is migrating into the new Support at Home program. Software that handles both — and the transition between them — keeps providers operational across the policy change.
