SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation)

SDA is NDIS-funded specialist housing for participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs, paid as a separate rental payment to the dwelling owner.

SDA categories include improved liveability, fully accessible, robust, and high physical support. Participants eligible for SDA still typically need separate SIL funding to pay for staffing in the home.

Providers managing SDA dwellings track property registration, design category, and tenancy status alongside the participant record and SIL operations.
